Is my donation tax deductible?
The Bowls Development Fund is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization* and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. tax law. Please check with your tax advisor or accountant for more details.

Can I direct my donation?
Donations to the BDF (Memorial Fund) are either directed to a general fund or can be designated for a specific purpose in line with BDF's mandate. Contributions earmarked for Bowls USA-sponsored events and programs will be processed by the BDF and forwarded per agreement with BUSA, submitting funds before the relevant program or event, unless otherwise specified.

Can I make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from my IRA?
Yes. If you are 70-1/2 years old or older you can make a direct contribution to the Fund from a taxable IRA instead of a personal withdrawal from your required minimum distributions. You may find this to be your preferred method of making a tax-deductible donation. Contact your financial advisor for more details.

How do I include the Fund in my Will or Trust?
Please contact the President or the Director of your division if you wish to include the Bowls Development Fund in your Will or Trust.
